Alec Selfridge, Firearms and Tactical Trainer (South East Asia)

Alec served in the RAF Police from 1985 until 1991, leaving to join Tayside Police. During his early police career, he specialised in the Roads Enforcement Unit and served as a Police Motorcyclist. Later in his career, he joined the Tactical Firearms Unit working on the Armed Response Unit and also carrying out Close Protection duties.

After gaining his National Firearms Instructor qualification, Alec taught several competencies including basic firearms, Armed Response officers (ARV) and Close Protection. Latterly, he was the Deputy Chief Firearms Instructor for Tayside Police and was instrumental in the delivery of all aspects of firearms training as required by the Force and National Licence
